LOOK: Hollywood action star Steven Seagal meets President Duterte in Malacañang

Hollywood action star Steven Seagal met with President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang on Thursday.

The actor is in the Philippines to prepare for a movie about illegal drugs and crime, the Palace said in a press release.

He earlier announced that he was in the country to shoot a TV series and a movie.

Seagal who is filming scenes in the country for his upcoming series was accompanied by Governor Chavit Singson, a personal friend.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Seagal expressed his admiration for Duterte, who he said was doing all he could to keep the country safe.

Seagal is also a fan of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
